Ramada By Wyndham Portland Airport Hotel – Hotel near airport in Portland

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room I had on the 2nd floor was quite spacious and clean, even before the official check-in time, which was a great start. However, the room didn't have a heater or didn't heat enough, making it quite cold at times.

The hotel room had a strange smell, was large and clean, but the quality was uneven and the overall smell was pretty bad. The staff needs customer service education, as they were rude, self-righteous, and less than helpful; however, the attention from a housekeeper was extraordinarily friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location was secluded, forcing guests to use their restaurant, with unfriendly staff and a building that looked like it hasn't been remodeled in 50 years. The dining experience was not running during my stay with no explanation, and the hot water problem was not a concern. Buttermilk biscuits in the restaurant were a turn-off.

The hotel provided a mix of experiences. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, but there were noticeable signs of aging and past smoking. The service was excellent in terms of helpfulness and courtesy, although there were issues with broken equipment. The location was ideal, especially for airport access, but the dining experiences were generally unsatisfactory.
